Five students earned perfect schores on the 2000-2001 Pennsylvania School Assessment Test administered at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.

THE OLD SHOE TROPHY
The Williamsport Sun-Gazette recently printed the history of the "Old Shoe" rivalry between Muncy and Montgomery football teams. We enjoyed reading it and thought you would too.
The shoe trophy was originated in 1961 when, during a discussion concerning an appropriate award for the winner of the annual Muncy-Montgomery football game, Dick Dietz and George Sauers picked out a shoe from a pile of leftovers in the Muncy High School gymnasium. The Muncy Jaycees had the shoe bronzed and placed it on the trophy.
Montgomery lost the game this year but during the last 40 years, Muncy leads on 23 - 18.
